I found me…!

The other day I was in my bathroom getting ready for the day, when I hear Madi coming down the hallway to our room.  She is calling out, “Mom, where are you,” in a sing song voice.  She says it a  couple of times, and I answer her that I am in the bathroom.  Then I call out to her, “where is Madi?”  She comes walking into the bathroom with this huge smile on her face and exclaims, “I found me!”

It was so adorable, I thought I better write it down.  She is constantly making me laugh, and I absolutely adore her!  I love my other kids too, but they don’t seem to make me laugh as much as she does, she has the best personality!

We have been busy the past few months, and I am not very good at updating things… but I will post a few pictures of what we have been up to!

Just an update on the  kids too!  Brevan is going to pre-school every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday!  He loves it, and is always excited to go!  He is learning a lot, and he is constantly amazing me at the things that he knows.  Some of his vocabulary I cannot believe.  I can’t believe he will be in Kindergarten next year… time sure does fly!  But, he loves to color, play and read about dinosaurs, go to the library, play outside, play with cars, and dress up in his cowboy boots and vest!  He says he wants to be a cowboy when he grows up!  What a great little boy he is, and we sure love him!

Sydney is Syd… stubborn, sweet, total girl!  She is emotional one minute… and happier that ever the next!  She loves to dress up, dance, play with her barbies and dolls, read, color, play and torment Brevan, play and torment Madi, and play outside whenever she can!  The kids love to tease each other, by the way, she isn’t the only one doing the tormenting!  We love her though, she is our little princess!

Madi, like I said, has quite the personality.  Besides that, she is always on the go!  She loves to dance, sing, color, run, hide, take baths, play with her brother and sister, and play with barbies and dolls!  She is most always happy, and she loves to make us laugh!  We are so grateful for her, and love her too!

So… what have we been up to these last couple of months?  First an update on our car… we finally got it back after a month!  Yay!!

We went to St. George for the weekend to visit Chelsea and Branden, take some pictures, and attend a Cinderella Pageant for Sydney….IMG_7913edited

We have to replant our backyard this year… so it is just mud and snow right now!  So the kids were covered that day… but they had fun!!

We have also been visiting the library each week!  Clifford came one day, and the kids (well, not Madi), loved him!

So, not much has been going on in our house lately!  Just playing, Brevan going to school, I’ve been going to zumba regularly and am loving it, and watching the Olympics!  But, that is about it!  Sorry for picture overload… but that is my favorite part!

Car accident!

Well, now that it has been like a month… I will tell you about my car accident!
I was driving down main street on like 6th or 7th of January, when I saw a pedestrian in the crosswalk!  As I got closer, the car that was in front of me pulled into the center turn lane… which meant I couldn’t see the guy in the crosswalk anymore!  I had no idea if he was going or not, but since the last time I had seen him he was in the crosswalk, I stopped!  Well, the guy behind me didn’t!
CRAAASHHHHHH!!!  That is about all I remember from that.  I pulled over to the side of the road.  The guy got out, told me he was in a hurry because his kids were home alone, and that he needed to leave!  I was worried about getting things paid for, of course, so I called 911. I told them the guy needed to leave because his kids were home alone.  They told me to tell the guy that if he left he would be in even more trouble and that there wasn’t anything that he needed to leave for until the police took our statements!  They sent a few policemen out to help us and take our information.  After that, I had to start dealing with the insurance!
The guy didn’t report his accident, and in fact, he avoided phone call for about 5 days.  So, because of this, I had to open a claim and deal with both our insurance companies to get things resolved.  They finally got a hold of him and closed the case.  They then sent an agent out to assess the damage of our car.
We also had to replace all the car seats, because the girls were with me.  And, my brother too.  Thankfully, no one was hurt!  That, we were really grateful for!
So… since then, we have been waiting for our van to be repaired!  The quotes we got, said it was about 4,000 dollars worth of damage, and could be more one they got into it!  We have a rental, and have had it for about 4 weeks now.

The place that is fixing it called us last week and told us it was done.  So we went to get it.. they weren’t done.  The bumper was cracked and scratched still and they expected us to be okay with that.  Well, we weren’t.  So they had to order in more parts, and the insurance company still has to pay for our rental.  I guess they have been calling the repair place and putting pressure on them to get it done so they don’t have to pay more in car rental fees.  But, unless it is all fixed, we won’t be taking it!
So… that is our story in a nutshell!  We hope to have our car back soon… but like I said before, the most important thing is that no one was hurt!
