Madness!!!!

Just a warning.... this is a long post!!
So, this summer has really flown by! It has been crazy and hectic, to say the least. It all started about 3 weeks ago. We went up on Thousand Lake and had a dutch oven dinner with some friends from Logan! It was such a blast. We fished, cooked, got rained on, went back to Loa to finish dessert, watched the kids play in the sandbox and on the trampoline, and just had a good time talking! It was so much fun to see them and get together, we really need to do it again! Thanks for the fun, Tonya and Matt. The kids are watching Robyn play in the mud! And Madi just wanted to play in the chair. (above)
This is their little girl, Robyn! Can you believe those eyes!!!
The next day, we got up early and headed for the Henry Mountains with my family. We left Jarad and Madisyn with my Grandma and Grandpa Davis, but we took Sydney and Brevan with us! Brett has a buffalo tag in December, so are going to be there quite often scouting for the hunt! We had a blast! When we first got to Hanksville, it was raining, but we didn't think it was bad enough that we couldn't make it. So, we headed out on the clay, yes, I said clay, road! We got about a mile before we started hitting some wet spots. We had a little trouble, but nothing bad early on. Then, it kept getting worse as the rain came down harder! I'm glad my dad was driving, because we would have been in the ditch if it would have been me! We finally went as far as we could go and set up camp. We decided we could camp there for the night and head up the rest of the way the next morning. So, that is what we did. We saw tons of deer, and finally on the way back to camp after a long 4-wheeler ride, we spotted the buffalo high on the mountain! It was a lot of fun to see such a big herd, and we can't wait for the hunt! It was a blast to see the deer too! These bucks are huge already, and they are just starting to grow it seems like, or were then! They are nothing like the ones we see here though, that is for sure! But, we had a ton of fun there, and the kids enjoyed it too! They loved riding the 4-wheelers and seeing all the animals.
That next week was the 4th of July, and we hung out here in Richfield. The kids loved the slides and had a blast on them. We had dinner at my parents house and then came home to watch fireworks. We ended up missing the fireworks because there was a misunderstanding with flags for the young men, so we ended up taking them down. We watched a little as we were driving, and we stopped and let the kids watch for a minute. But, they didn't really care about them since they were cooped up in a car!
That next Thursday, we headed for Disneyland. My parents had won the light contest and this was what they won. We left the kids with Brett's parents, and Jarad stayed with my Grandparents in Panguitch. We flew out of SLC early Thursday morning and got to Disneyland around 1 o'clock! We rode some rides, went to dinner, and got up the next morning ready to shop for a little! We had scheduled the trip around a Yankees/Angel's baseball game, and that started at 7 o'clock. We had 3 day passes, so we just didn't go to Disneyland on this day. We picked up souvenirs and hit the ESPN zone for lunch! We had a relaxing day, and then went to the game! I have never been to a live game, so it was a ton of fun for me. We had good seats too, so it was fun to watch and see the players. My dad is a huge Yankees fan, so he had a great time too! Unfortunately, they lost, but it was still great fun! We came home Sunday after wearing ourselves out on all the rides, Cheesecake Factory, ESPN zone, and just some shopping! It was great to see the kids too!
We got home late Sunday night, and went up to Fishlake on Monday morning. Brett's family was up there camping for the week, so we went to visit for the day. It was a relaxing day of games and fun! On Thursday night, Brett headed back up there with the kids. I stayed home to go to Bunko, and then rode up with Branden and Chelsea the next day! We had a great time in Fishlake, and went to church there on Sunday! We played lots of games, went on walks, and just sat around the fire and talked! Kelly and Bryant were down, and are here until the 26th, so it was good to see them. They are in medical school, and we only see them every 6 months or so.
On Monday, we had a baby shower for Kelly. She is due on January 1, but since we probably won't see her until next summer, we thought we better give her one while she was down! We had a lot of fun, and she got some cute things. We are so excited for them, and hope all goes well for them!
So now that I am caught up, I will have to begin again another day! Tomorrow we are off to Seven Peaks, and then the weekend is 24th of July, and then we have a family reunion, our anniversary, school starting..... does it ever end! Crazy how time flies by!
I will have to add more pics later; 1:30 in the morning isn't the best time to be doing this!!
