Sydney’s Birthday & Christmas…

Just an advance notice of warning.... there are a lot of pictures in this post!!
Since Sydney’s birthday was the week of the buffalo hunt, we decided to let her open her presents early.  We didn’t know if Brett would be home or not.  So, she got to open presents about a week early.  We had saved a couple for her birthday too.

Don't you love Madi's face on this pic too!!  haha...

But, Brett got his buffalo on opening morning, so we were home on Sunday.  We decided to hurry and throw a family party for her that night.  She had a great time, and felt like a princess!  She got to celebrate for days!  It seemed like she got to open a present each day!  She was so excited, and Madi and Brevan were just as excited to help her.
I still can’t believe she is 3, but I am so grateful for her and her sweet personality!
We had a few Christmas parties leading up to Christmas.  We had a good time, and the kids got to see Santa plenty of times!  But, it was good, because each time Sydney and Madisyn got a little braver.  And, by the last time, they actually sat on Santa’s lap!

Christmas morning dawned, and it was 7:30… the kids were still asleep!  My parents had come over to watch the kids, and so we had to wake them up about 7:50.

When they came into the room to see what Santa had brought them, Madi was still kind of asleep, Sydney just wanted to show Madi what Santa had brought her, and Brevan was too busy playing with his toys to care about anything else!  Sydney finally went over to her playhouse when nobody was paying attention… and Madi just wanted to play with that with Syd!  Quite the laid back Christmas morning.  But, they finally decided they would open presents… and after that, it went by rather quickly!
We went over to my parents house later to open presents there, and then we went to dinner at Brett’s parents!  We had a great day that was pretty relaxed and I don’t know about anyone else… but I was sure glad it was over!!!
The kids got to go sledding that night too!  My dads hill was perfect for them... not to big, but big enough to go somewhere!  They had a blast and can't wait to go again!!!
Here are some pictures… enjoy!  I’m trying to get caught up, I really am a procrastinator, but I am trying to be better!  We’ll see how long it lasts!

Here are their Christmas pajamas!

Madi was too tired to sit for pictures!

She sure was wore out!  :)

They had a blast sledding!  Madi was taking a much needed nap though, so she missed the fun!

Sorry for the picture overload!  We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
